INSTITUTE of DANCE SCHOLARSHIP

Mission Statement
Changing the World Through Dance.

The Institute of Dance Scholarship (IDS) seeks to locate the brilliance of dance at the core of academic disciplines as well as local and global communities. Recognizing the revolutionary potential of dance in all its aesthetic, political and ritual dimensions, IDS programs are designed to re-envision the human situation through research and the production of new knowledge able to make a vital contribution to global peace, social prosperity, cultural sustainability and planetary balance. By convening the greatest thinkers on dance to develop their work in a richly challenging interdisciplinary milieu, the IDS will serve as the premiere hub of dance and dance-related scholarly research internationally.

March 18th to March 22nd, 2024.
